C-drive to Engine Alignment & Mechanic - Certified
Precise C-drive to engine alignment is critical for Amel yachts. Do not accept "close enough" or "within a few degrees" as acceptable standards. Such inaccurate advice has led to costly repairs for Amel owners, ranging from €7,000 to €80,000.
The alignment must be within 0.1mm (0.004 inches) at all points around the circumference of the mating surface between the ZF Hurth output flange and the fixed coupling alignment tool. Using a feeler gauge is highly recommended to achieve this level of precision.
